This track is inspired by a poem I found on a visit to Kresen Kernow, Cornwall's new archive centre, in an old poetry book called 'Tales of the Western Shore', compiled by Cornish legend; Robert Stephen Hawker. The poem is called The Night Cometh and is about those nights when we can't sleep and all our worries seem much bigger than they actually are! it was written in 1836.

As darkness fills the western sky
And sleep, the twin of death, is nigh
What soothes the soul, at set of sun?
A pleasant thought, of duty done

When i will weave these words
in Holier light i yearn
but Only dark is here
fast wears the night

must the past-ral, night slumbers be
The shepherds by the eastern tree
Broken & brief, with dreams that tell
Of ravaged flock, and poisoned well
